HONORS AT CITY COLLEGE
The Honors Center houses two integrated honors programs: the William E. Macaulay Honors College at City, and the CCNY Honors Program. Both programs are highly competitive, and combined, admit approximately 100 first-year students each fall, across all disciplines.
All our students take seminar-style Honors classes to fulfill their general-education core requirements. They also receive a range of support services throughout their undergraduate career, including: individualized attention from a dedicated, professional advising staff; skill building workshops; and the use of the Honors Center Lounge. Our peer mentoring program also provides support to help new students transition more easily from high school to college, while offering leadership opportunities for older students.
Additional opportunities are available to all CCNY students, including those in Macaulay and the Honors Program, such as:
Colin Powell Fellowships
Honors Program in Legal Studies
NOAA-CESSRST
Zahn Innovation Center
Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship
These exceptional features help make the Honors Center at CCNY a vibrant and supportive community, that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, and professional development.
